For Such a Time as This

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your fathers family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14
Esther’s story is one of faith and courage. She was taken from the only home she knew along with other girls her age and was taken to the palace of King Xerxes against her will. But the King saw something in her that he did not see in the others. He found favor in Esther and soon she took Queen Vashti’s place as queen.
God placed Esther in the right place at the right time. God’s purpose for her life was more than just being queen; it was to save her people. So I ask you what is God’s purpose for your life? What is that dream he has placed in your heart, the one you cannot stop thinking about? I encourage you to step out and begin your journey, the next chapter of your life that God has destined for you. You may be fearful and that what he has called you to do is too big. But nothing is too big for God. Trust in him. Let him work through you. We are all born for such a time as this.
For such a time as this,
we are born
our dream, that desire,
that burning passion,
that God given dream.
We sit, we wait
possibly waiting for that right moment
only when that moment
is now.
So step out
take that leap of faith,
leaving all fear
behind.
Be that light in the darkness,
that flower in the desert,
trusting in the one who made
you to guide your every step.
For such a time as this,
we are born.
